Spring season of connection and celebration with Skål International London

Between April and June 2025, Skål International London hosted a vibrant series of events that brought together members, guests, and industry leaders to celebrate friendship, hospitality, and professional growth. 

From culinary delights to inspiring guest speakers and heartfelt moments of recognition, each gathering reflected the spirit of Skål International: Doing business among friends. Here's a look back at a memorable spring season.

April: Spring Membership Drive & Showcase Dinner at Residence Inn by Marriott London

On April 8, members and guests gathered at the Residence Inn by Marriott London Downtown for a lively Spring Membership Drive and Showcase Dinner.

The evening featured a flavorful Caribbean menu by Reynor McIntyre, Chef/Owner of Macky’s Jerk, and refreshing brews from Tom McKauglin of Powerhouse Brewing Co.

Special thanks go to members Nadia McCormack-McIntyre and Weireen Velasquez, along with their dedicated team, for their warm hospitality and seamless organization. The event also welcomed Suhaib Kidwai from Skål International Bahrain 370, adding an international touch to the evening.

May: BBQ & Networking at East Park London

On May 13, Skål International members and guests enjoyed a relaxed and flavorful evening at East Park London, one of the city’s premier family entertainment venues.

The event featured a delicious BBQ spread — including jerk chicken, sausages, and fresh salads — and refreshing samples of Bangarang craft beer, served by Katelyn Fox.

The highlight of the evening was a keynote address by Tony Elenis, President & CEO of the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association (ORHMA), who shared valuable insights into the hospitality industry. A heartfelt thank you to Justin Tiseo, Alon Shatil, and their team for hosting such a successful event.

June: Mid-Season Fundraiser Dinner at Idlewyld Inn & Spa

The season concluded on June 10 with an elegant Mid-Season Fundraiser Dinner at the historic Idlewyld Inn & Spa.

Guests were treated to exquisite farm-to-table cuisine, live music by local guitarist Peter Tindall, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere curated by Inn Manager Effie Gurman and her exceptional culinary team.

The evening also featured a sweet surprise from Mykola & Iryna Bilovi, owners of U.Cake, who delighted attendees with samples of their artisanal macarons. A special moment of the night was the Membership Induction Ceremony for Kim Atkinson, Chief Operating Officer at Foudery, who was warmly welcomed into the Skål International family.
