SKÅL INTERNATIONAL CLUB OF THE YEAR
All Skål Clubs worldwide who meet the qualifying requirements listed below are invited to participate.
Clubs that wish to be considered for this award must submit information supporting the criteria below to the SKÅL International Administrators and SKÅL VP of Administration by January 1st. Early submissions are appreciated. Please reach out to General Secretariat, Sandra Vera, for more information.QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS
o Payment of Club membership fees to Skål International before February 28 deadline.
o Submission of Club membership list to Skål International before March 31 deadline.
o Remittance of Form 2 (update of Club’s Officers) to Skål International before April 15 deadline.
o A net increase of 10% in membership or a minimum of 10 new Active members for larger Clubs over one calendar year. As measured from April 30 to April 30 each year.
o Providing an attending voting delegate at two Skål World Congresses over the past five years.
o A donation to the Florimond Volckaert Fund within the past year.
This prestigious award is granted to one Skål Club each year from among all of the Clubs worldwide through a competitive judging process based on the Club’s administrative performance, growth and participation to Skål.

SKÅL USA CLUB OF THE YEAR
The purpose of the award is to honor the Skål USA Club which, best exemplifies the spirit of Skål and has achieved the objectives of the Skål Movement during the calendar year.
IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR CLUB OF THE YEAR, A CLUB MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
·• A club must be in good standing, maintaining a membership of no less than 15 members.
• Pay their annual dues on time
• Complete the Skål USA Club Data Form online
• Attended NASC the previous year
• Have a net increase in membership of 5% or 5 members, whichever is greater, between January 1st and December 31st the year prior to application.
AWARD:
The winning club will receive a single registration to the NASC Congress (in the year awarded) or $1,000 to be used for a club event.

WILLIAM C. SWEET MEMBER OF DISTINCTION AWARD
The Member of Distinction Award was renamed the "Bill Sweet Member of Distinction Award" in 2018 by Skål International
USA
, in honor of Bill Sweet, a Skål member for over 50 years, honored hotelier in Denver, Colorado, and a Skål International Membre D'Honneur recipient in 2003, a distinguished honor that has only been bestowed on only a handful of Skål USA members since the global organization's founding in 1934. This award is not given out each year, but rather given only occasionally, and very selectively, when the Skål International USA Executive Committee wants to recognize that particular person, who has exlempified the Skål spirit in every way, presenting this honorary title on a particular past or present member of Skål USA who has distinguished themselves in their service to Skål in ways far above and beyond the norm. Congratulations to the handful of people given this award over the years, as shown below.
